Prayer Requests for My Rwanda Travels

• Deeper Trust in God! 

  • I have been blown away by how much God has challenged my trust in Him. God has shooken my need for comfort and set plans. He has encouraged me to trust him when nothing makes sense and all seems hopeless. I have, sometimes reluctantly, chosen to free fall into trusting him instead of quitting and it has allowed for amazing encounters with Jesus. Please pray for more of this! I want to have an insane amount of trust in God. Trust when plans don't go the way I had imagined or when there an abundance of unknowns. 

• Wisdom in Planning

  • This also relates to trust, but God has greatly challenged my comfort level in regards to plans being in place before going. I have always been more comfortable with set plans in place before going into any situation. Yet, God has encouraged me to let go of this need for all my plans to be in place and instead to trust him. However, I also want to be wise in what does need to be in place before I go. Prayers in regards to wisdom in what needs to be done and what can be figured out when I get there would be greatly appreicated.

• Health

  • ​There are multiple aspects to this prayer request. First, is my fear in not being able to get the yellow fever vaccination. Due to an autoimmune disease that I have I cannot receive the yellow fever vaccination. This scares me for two reasons. First because you need a yellow fever vcacination to get into the country. I have read multiple reports of being able to get in with a doctor waiver, yet for some reason this hasn't eased my fears as much as I had hoped. I am fearful of not being able to get into Rwanda or Uganda, as I will be traveling there at the end of my time in Rwanda. The other fear would be, well of getting yellow fever. Prayers for protection against this would be amazing. 

  • General heath. While my health has been pretty great recently it still makes me fearful to be so far away from home and my doctor for this long.
